What to Expect If I Make the National Team?
Winners of the UMMAF National Tournament will earn a spot on the U.S. Team (and runner-ups as alternates) and will be eligible to compete in IMMAF – International Mixed Martial Arts Federation international competitions, including the 2019 IMMAF Amateur MMA World Championships, the largest amateur MMA event globally, including over 50 countries and 300+ competitors for the chance to earn the legitimate WORLD TITLE (and a nice shiny gold medal to take home). These competitions allow you to truly test yourself on a larger, and safer scale. It also gives you more exposure to top promotions all around the world, not just locally. Most athletes also benefit from the international exposure to forge new friendships, networking, international training/fight opportunities, and support from the fans of MMA on a global scale – but that’s just something you’ll have to see for yourself.
