Benjamin “Mr. Alaska” Bennett, the former UMMAF National Champion and IMMAF World Champion has signed a pro contract with Brave Combat.  Bennett will make his debut on May 11th in Indonesia.

Bennett, a veteran of the amateur circuit,  and 2 time Team USA member, was on full display at the 2017 IMMAF World Championships in Bahrain which was hosted by Brave Combat, owned by His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa.

Bennett began his career in Alaska under the tutelage of Coach Jeff Nielsen then relocating to Missouri to train with Team USA Head Coach,  Robert Hulett.   Since winning the IMMAF amateur world title at 170 pounds, Bennett has kept busy by adding boxing to his arsenal and winning the Ringside Amateur World Championship along the way as well as both of his pro boxing bouts.

UMMAF National Director Ryan Brueggeman sums it up, “Ben Bennett has followed in a line of great athletes that have fallen under the UMMAF and IMMAF banners.  It really proves that under our program, amateur athletes gain the experience needed to be successful in the pro ranks with top level promotions such as Brave Combat, Titan FC and King of the Cage.  From the beginning it was very clear to us that Ben was a driven athlete.  His dedication to training and adding weapons to his repertoire might be unmatched.  The neat thing about Ben is his background.  We are talking about a guy that lived in rural Alaska and couldn’t even read until he was 16 years old. His drive to improve as a fighter is only matched by his desire for personal growth.  I can’t wait to see what the future holds for him.”
